Kimberlee Daughtry LPC-S, RPT, EMDR, CGT

Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Founder

In 2012, I founded Breath of Hope Professional Counseling. As a fellow sojourner, on this spiral path of life, it has been my goal to create an accepting and nurturing environment where people can have the sacred space to unpack life issues and begin healing. I offer support for individuals and couples from a non-judgmental stance. Click here to book a 30-minute intake consult.

Invest in your self, your relationships, your life.

Life can feel overwhelming when you’re navigating trauma, loss, anxiety, relationship conflict, or major life transitions. You may feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. Therapy offers a place to slow down, be understood, and begin healing—without pressure to “have it all together.”

Therapy for Individuals, Couples, and Trauma Recovery

Nothing impacts our emotional health more than strained or broken relationships. When communication breaks down, pain repeats, and connection feels out of reach, counseling can help restore understanding and closeness. I work with individuals and couples who want real tools—not just conversation—to create meaningful change.

If you’re experiencing grief, trauma, or emotional overwhelm, you may question whether your reactions are normal—especially if others expect you to be “over it by now.” In therapy, every feeling is valid. Healing happens when your experience is honored, not rushed.

It is okay not to be okay. But it is not okay to stay there.

A Trauma-Informed, Mind-Body Approach to Counseling

I specialize in trauma-informed therapy grounded in neuroscience and the mind-body connection. Together, we explore how past experiences shaped your nervous system, beliefs, and emotional responses—and how to gently create new patterns that support healing and growth.

My integrative approach may include:

  • EMDR therapy for trauma and anxiety

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS-informed) therapy

  • Sand tray and experiential therapy

  • Guided relaxation, breathwork, and mindfulness

  • Somatic and nervous system regulation

These evidence-based methods help clients process painful experiences, reduce emotional distress, and build self-compassion and resilience.

Couples Counseling & Gottman Method Therapy

I am a Certified Gottman Couples Therapist, offering relationship counseling for couples feeling stuck in recurring conflict, emotional distance, or gridlock. Using the Gottman Method, I help couples improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection.

Services include:

Trauma Therapy, EMDR & Specialized Services

I am certified in EMDR therapy and offer both weekly sessions and EMDR Intensives for clients seeking deeper work in a focused time frame. I integrate Internal Family Systems (ISF) concepts into trauma treatment, which clients often report increases in self-esteem, emotional clarity, and self-compassion.

I also have extensive experience supporting individuals in addiction recovery and am familiar with 12-step programs.

When requested, I incorporate complementary approaches such as Shamanic Breathwork and Reiki energy work, which can support healing from trauma, grief, anxiety, and life transitions.

Faith-Respectful, Client-Centered Counseling

While many clinicians at Breath of Hope are rooted in the Christian faith, we honor and respect clients of all beliefs and backgrounds. Spirituality is always client-led and never imposed. For those who choose to integrate it, spirituality can support healing—but it is never a requirement.

Collaborative Therapy Focused on Growth & Freedom

Therapy is a partnership. I bring clinical expertise; you bring lived experience. Together, we work toward clarity, emotional relief, and lasting change.

Clients often experience:

  • Healthier communication in relationships

  • Greater emotional awareness and expression

  • Stronger boundaries and self-trust

  • Reduced anxiety and emotional reactivity

  • Increased confidence and authenticity

Professional Credentials & Supervision

In addition to clinical work, I provide LPC-Supervisor services for LPC-Associates in Texas, completing their 3,000-hour residency.
