Dana Lynn Hanberry, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my goal is to cultivate a collaborative atmosphere where every client feels acknowledged, respected, fully supported, and empowered to be their authentic self. I believe healing begins within the safety of a trusting therapeutic relationship. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, processing emotional pain, or working to release long-held patterns, I’m here to walk beside you with empathy, insight, and compassion.
I was born and raised in San Antonio and proudly served in the U.S. Army, where I developed a strong sense of discipline, resilience, and a deep commitment to serving others. As a Veteran, I bring a unique perspective and a nuanced understanding of military culture to my counseling work.
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending weekends with my family—especially cheering on my son at his baseball games. These moments remind me of the importance of connection, joy, and presence, all of which I strive to bring into the counseling process.
I became a counselor to be a steady, grounded presence for those on the path of healing. My approach centers on fostering growth, resilience, and inner peace. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and provide specialized support for individuals navigating trauma, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
I have a deep passion for supporting individuals who are healing from trauma and loss. I understand how experiences of PTSD and grief can profoundly affect one’s identity and worldview, often creating feelings of isolation and disconnection. In our work together, we will honor your story while gently creating space for hope, connection, and transformation. You don’t have to walk this path alone—we’ll move at your pace, with care, as you move toward a renewed sense of wholeness.
