You didn’t become a therapist to spend your time worrying about paperwork, insurance billing, marketing, and building a caseload from scratch.

At Breath of Hope Professional Counseling, we are intentionally growing our team and are currently hiring:

1 Full-Time Fully Licensed Clinician

1 LPC Associate — Full-Time or Part-Time

If you’re searching for therapist jobs in San Antonio, private practice counseling jobs, or an LPC Associate position with supervision and insurance referrals, this may be the right fit for you.

Breath of Hope is a supportive, niche private practice serving individuals and couples in the San Antonio and Shavano Park area. Our clinicians are able to focus primarily on providing excellent clinical care while our practice provides referrals, credentialing support, billing, marketing, technology, and administrative infrastructure.

A Different Kind of Private Practice

Breath of Hope Professional Counseling, located in Shavano Park, TX, offers a supportive private practice environment for clinicians who want meaningful clinical work without having to manage every aspect of running a practice.

We are not a high-volume practice.

Our focus is on quality, relationship-centered, trauma-informed care and helping clients improve their relationship with themselves and with others through individual and couples therapy.

Breath of Hope is intentionally built around two primary clinical niches:

  • Couples and relational therapy

  • Trauma-informed therapy

We are looking for clinicians who feel genuinely drawn to one or both of these areas and who want to continue developing advanced clinical skills within them.

Our work also commonly includes:

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Grief and loss

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Life transitions

  • Relationship concerns

  • Communication difficulties

  • Infidelity and relationship repair

Qualified fully licensed clinicians include:

  • LPC

  • LCSW

  • LMFT

We are also accepting applications from Texas LPC Associates who are interested in developing strong clinical skills in couples and relational therapy, trauma-informed therapy, and loss while receiving supervision from Kimberlee Daughtry, LPC-S.

These opportunities may be an excellent fit for clinicians searching for:

  • LPC jobs in San Antonio, TX

  • LPC Associate jobs in San Antonio, TX

  • LCSW jobs in San Antonio

  • LMFT jobs in San Antonio

  • Mental health therapist jobs in San Antonio

  • Private practice therapist jobs in Texas

  • LPC Associate supervision in San Antonio

Depending on the position and arrangement, 1099 contractor and W-2 employment options may be available.

LPC Associate Opportunity

Breath of Hope is accepting applications for one LPC Associate, either full-time or part-time.

This position is designed for an LPC Associate who wants more than simply accumulating supervision hours.

We are looking for an Associate who wants to develop strong clinical skills, establish specialty areas, work within an established private practice, and grow professionally while building a consistent caseload.

LPC Supervision

To qualify for the LPC Associate position at Breath of Hope, Kimberlee Daughtry, LPC-S, must serve as your board-approved LPC supervisor while you are practicing with Breath of Hope.

Supervision support is included as part of the position:

  • Full-Time LPC Associate: LPC supervision is provided at no additional cost.

  • Part-Time LPC Associate: A portion of LPC supervision costs will be covered by Breath of Hope.

This provides the opportunity to receive consistent supervision while gaining practical experience within an established private practice.

Insurance Opportunities for LPC Associates

A significant advantage of joining Breath of Hope as an LPC Associate is the opportunity to begin working with insurance clients while completing your supervised clinical hours.

Eligible LPC Associates working under Kimberlee Daughtry, LPC-S may see:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield clients

  • Aetna clients

  • Cigna clients

  • Private-pay clients

This provides an opportunity to develop a caseload through both practice referrals and insurance-based referrals rather than having to build a client base completely on your own.

Our Two Primary Clinical Niches

Breath of Hope is intentionally growing around two areas of clinical focus: couples and relational therapy and trauma-informed therapy.

These niches are central to the work we do and are an important part of determining clinical fit for our team.

Couples & Relational Therapy

Couples counseling is a significant part of our practice.

We are especially interested in clinicians who enjoy helping couples with:

  • Communication

  • Conflict

  • Emotional disconnection

  • Trust

  • Infidelity and relationship repair

  • Attachment and relational patterns

  • Life transitions

  • Strengthening emotional intimacy and connection

Gottman Method Couples Therapy Training

Gottman Method Couples Therapy training is required for clinicians who provide couples therapy at Breath of Hope Professional Counseling.

We believe in providing couples with a consistent, research-based approach to treatment, and Breath of Hope uses the Gottman Method as our primary framework for couples therapy.

If you have not yet completed Gottman Method training, you are still encouraged to apply.

A clinician or LPC Associate who is a strong fit for the practice may complete the required Gottman Method training during the onboarding process and before beginning couples work.

We are particularly interested in clinicians who genuinely enjoy relational work and want to develop strong competency and confidence in couples therapy.

Trauma-Informed Therapy

Our second primary niche is trauma-informed therapy.

We work with clients who may be healing from trauma, loss, adverse life experiences, relational wounds, grief, and other experiences that have impacted their emotional well-being and relationships.

Because trauma-informed care is a central part of our practice, solid trauma-informed clinical training is required.

Clinicians should have a strong foundational understanding of:

  • Trauma and the nervous system

  • Trauma responses and protective patterns

  • Attachment and relational trauma

  • Emotional regulation

  • Stabilization and resourcing

  • Trauma-informed pacing and clinical safety

  • The impact of trauma on relationships and functioning

Training in EMDR or IFS is preferred, but it is not required if the clinician has strong, well-established trauma-informed training and experience.

Preferred trauma-related training may include:

  • EMDR

  • IFS or IFS-informed therapy

  • Attachment-focused trauma therapy

  • Somatic or nervous-system-informed approaches

  • Other evidence-based trauma-focused modalities

We are looking for clinicians who can work with trauma thoughtfully, ethically, and with appropriate clinical pacing.

You will have opportunities for consultation and collaboration without being micromanaged.

  • Appreciate clinical autonomy

  • Value consultation and collaboration

  • Are dependable and professionally responsible

  • Maintain strong ethical and professional boundaries

These niches are not the right fit for every clinician, and that is okay.

We are intentionally looking for therapists who feel aligned with the work Breath of Hope is known for and who want to grow within these specialty areas.

Specialty Training

Clinicians must have:
